‘A destination for great food and equally great service’ - The Week in 2018
What Eric Mustard says: Feel the calm wash over you as you enter what can only be described as a central London haven, hidden away from the nearby tourist hotspots in the sanctuary of Somerset House. Everything feels bright, light, clean and airy and there is a very slight hint of Swiss spa retreat but with added soul. Spring has been going for almost a decade now and it’s clear to see why it’s been such a success as soon as you walk in. No design element overlooked a venue that caters for all needs, whether that’s a swift business lunch an early pre-theatre dinner or a long leisurely dinner with friends, all of those fit. Menus for all too, centring around a theme of seasonal simplicity. The food is fitting of the venue and was perfectly summed up for me, by the uncomplicated yet exceptional meringue with rhubarb ice cream, and to think we almost didn’t take that extra course.
