What Eric Mustard says: Dark, moody and full to the brim with wine. The original Noble Rot is still a superstar venue and is the oldest and wisest of its soon-to-be two siblings (Soho and Mayfair later this year). Taking a stroll down Lamb’s Conduit Street should only end in one way and that is lunch, dinner or copious amounts of wine at Noble Rot. If you happen to be alone even better, as you can tuck into their magazine whilst you wine and then head over to their shop Shrine to the Vine for some more expert advice and a bottle for your next occasion. Maybe it’s their mega-successful Chin Chin, perhaps something more exotic but it’s definitely fair to say that you are in the safest of hands when it comes to any recommendations. It’s no coincidence that they make a mean vin jaune velouté.
